Charlotte Scott

Charlotte Scott is the CoFounder and CEO of ZayoHub Zambia. She’s a British-born Zambian-citizen, with a long career in research, program design and evaluation for development organizations, universities and think-tanks, including the Overseas Development Institute, the Institute for Development Studies, USAID and UNICEF. She has played a leadership role in the development of substantial new policy initiatives in Zambia, notably in the development of social protection in Zambia. Her work has extended to other countries in eastern and southern Africa, and she also served as UNICEF’s Chief of Social and Economic Policy in West and Central Africa. Charlotte wrote the global thematic report on inequality for the UN Secretary General’s High-level Panel on Millennium Development goals. 

Charlotte has a degree from Oxford University, and a PhD from Bath on the sociology of chronic poverty. She is a member of the Oxford University International Advisory Board on African Studies, and has been a trustee / board member of a large number of NGOs, with special interest in rural development, women and children.
